It’s about your love and that itself is enough. It’s about the connection you have that drew you together to start a forever life together. It’s not about the place or the destination, it’s about YOU. It’s not about that! And I never intended it to be about that. I used to get told all the time by my local weddings that I did have “so sorry this spot isn’t as epic or cool as _” (somewhere where I had traveled to!) and that BROKE MY HEART.

And the more I get to spend exploring this little gem of a state? The better!! Boise, Stanley, McCall- my heart belongs in all these places that I now call home because of the memories I have made here. Making it known anywhere I can that I am a wedding photographer based in Boise Idaho. I started to switch gears over the last year or so, trying to actually market in my area. And of course it’s where my husband and pup are! But not only that, Idaho actually IS absolutely breathtaking. It wasn’t until I was gone every weekend for months on end that I realized I actually DID love the state I lived in, mostly because of the memories and friendships I did have. Not just the building above your head, but the home where you explore every inch of it, with your closest family and friends. Most people actually had/have no idea where I am based, because I wasn’t making it known anywhere! After spending weekends away from home week after week and month after month, I really started to realize how nice it is to have a “home”. And lo and behold, it worked! Over the course of the next two years, I was getting more out of state weddings than I was getting local. A lot of that came from investing in the travel myself, and setting up shoots or offering slightly discounted shoots in order to gain a portfolio in different areas. I did all that I could to make it known to potential clients that I was willing to travel to them for their big days and big moments. So that’s what I set out to accomplish! I marketed myself as a traveling wedding photographer, not bound to one specific state. When I first started my business, I wasn’t super in love with Idaho (not enough to feel like I was missing out!) and my heart wanted to be traveling all the time. However getting to explore the last couple years with my husband, we’ve found just the opposite!! Which leads me to this: Idaho Bride + Grooms: Read This || Idaho Weddings in Boise, McCall, and Stanley Most people when they think of Idaho, you wouldn’t think that we’d have anything extravagant or epic out here. Over the last couple of years I’ve realized how hidden of a gem Idaho really is.
